Painting is serious business, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be playful or amusing. In many of my paintings and constructions there are many visual jokes and puns. Just because I want to make you think doesn’t mean I can’t make you laugh at the same time. Isn’t that what great comedians do—make you think by first making you laugh?
